Quanta Computer Inc. - Freshly Harvested Target of REvil Group

The REvil/Sodinokibi Ransomware Group, in their recent blog (infamously known as Happy Blog) post claims to have infiltrated Quanta Computer Inc. a Taiwan-based manufacturer of notebook computers and other electronic hardware. The customer base of this manufacturer includes tech giants such as Apple, Dell, HP, Alienware, Amazon, Cisco, Lenovo, LG and many more.

The group on the blog post claims to have Apple's confidential product designs and personal data with other several major brands. The group demands Apple to buy back the data by 1st of May or else as usual threatens to auction the confidential data.

The blog post has posted several proofs of the stolen designs of Apple products and promises to release more every day (I won't be posting those here, for some obvious reasons).

The post also has a link to download few documents in a PDF format containing more of these proprietary designs from Apple. These PDF files indeed contain several designs relating to Apple products.

Apple or Quanta Computer Inc. is yet to comment on this leak by the REvil Rasnomware Group.
